The Doctor of Philosophy Program in Social Development Administration organized a study visit and academic excursion to the People’s Republic of China from 3–10 May 2026 to enhance out-of-classroom learning experiences for doctoral students. The study tour covered four major cities: Guangzhou, Nanning, Guilin, and Shenzhen.

During the program, students visited the Guangzhou Canton Fair, the largest trade exhibition in China, to gain insights into economic development and technological innovation. They also visited the Guangxi Ethnic Village to learn about the cultures of ethnic minority groups, explored the Reed Flute Cave and enjoyed a cruise on the Four Lakes in Guilin to study sustainable tourism practices, and examined smart city systems as well as the OCT-LOFT Creative Culture Park in Shenzhen.

This program played an important role in strengthening the potential of doctoral students by broadening their perspectives on administration and social development in an international context. The knowledge and experiences gained from this study visit will be further applied to research and the development of Thai society in the future.
