Professor Dr. Siwaj Pongpiachan participated in a research feedback forum on the management of the Kok River Basin using geoinformatics technology and advanced technologies.
The meeting was presided over by Mr. Charin Thongsuk, Governor of Chiang Rai Province, who opened the session for the presentation and discussion of research findings and academic feedback. Mr. Prasert Jitpleesip, Deputy Governor of Chiang Rai Province, together with relevant agencies, also attended the meeting.
In this regard, the Center for Disaster Prevention and Management Research and Development, Faculty of Social Development and Management Strategy, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), led by Professor Dr. Siwaj Pongpiachan, presented the research titled “Management of the Kok River Basin Contaminated with Toxic Substances Using Geoinformatics and Advanced Technologies for Environmental and Health Security in Chiang Rai Province.”
The meeting was held on 25 August 2025 at Phaya Phiphak Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Chiang Rai Provincial Hall. The objective was to provide Chiang Rai Province and relevant local agencies with important academic information, exchange opinions and recommendations, and support sustainable and secure water and environmental resource management in the future.
