
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Li Renliang, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, School of Social Development and Management Strategy, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), participated in a discussion and exchange on regional economic development to support stability under the theme “Connecting Thailand–China through the Power of Education.”
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Nikorn Sengthian, Director of the Education Development Center for the Southern Border Provinces, along with executives and officials from the National Security Council of Thailand, the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center, Prince of Songkla University, and Yala Rajabhat University. They engaged in discussions and exchanges with representatives from the Southeast Asia Research Institute of Yunnan Province (Kunming), People’s Republic of China.
The discussions focused on regional economic development to strengthen security, as well as opportunities and potential cooperation in expanding trade and market access from Thailand’s southern region to China. The meeting also emphasized promoting Thailand–China collaboration in academic cooperation, multicultural exchange, and education development in the southern border provinces.
The meeting was held on 29 April 2025 at Laguna Grand Hotel & Spa, Songkhla Province.
